About Theatron

Theatron is a nightlife complex at Calle 58 Bis No. 10-32 in Chapinero, Bogotá, built inside the former Metro Riviera theatre. Wikipedia describes it as the largest gay nightclub in Latin America. It opened in May 2002 after a full restoration of the theatre and now spreads across 20 rooms, each with its own style. The main Theatron room has a 116 square metre stage, two dance floors, two bars and drag, dance and live shows. Teatrino, the first room of the club, is a baroque-style space for electro dance on Fridays and circuit and tribal house on Saturdays. SkyTop, the 20th room, is a techno terrace at the top of the building, and Lotus is an 800 square metre terrace opened in 2016.

Resident DJs include Cesar Cardozo in the main room and DJ Webs, Thomas Santiago and Mario Esteban in Teatrino. Weekly nights such as Jueves Hot and HP Quê Rico run alongside Miss Gay Internacional, Halloween and circuit parties with brands such as Matinée and Mantamar. The club is run by Sociedad Theatron Entretenimiento SAS.

Guests must show original ID (a Colombian cédula, or a Registraduría certificate plus another photo ID if it is lost); photocopies are not accepted and security can refuse entry if identity or age is unclear. There are no reservations: entry is paid at the box office on the night from 21:00.
