About Fausto

Fausto is an LGBT nightclub at Av. Santa María 0832 in Providencia, Santiago, and calls itself the oldest gay disco in Latin America in continuous operation. It opened on 22 August 1979, founded by Javier Aparicio, Patricio Muruaga and Patricio Sandoval, and from the start it has had no sign on its facade; inside are marble walls and a copy of Michelangelo's Creation of Adam on the main staircase. Drag shows are the house speciality, alongside contests such as Miss Fausto, created in 1993. The club opens Wednesday to Sunday from 23:00, with a weekly cycle of drag and reality shows, Dirty Dancers on Fridays and karaoke followed by a party on Saturdays. Resident DJs include Leo Arias, and the 47th anniversary party is on 23 October 2026.
