About Le Rachdingue
Le Rachdingue is a club in Mas Gori, an old farmhouse with a square tower in the Mas d'en Sattle area just east of Vilajuïga, between Roses and Figueres in the Alt Empordà. It opened in 1968, and Salvador Dalí inaugurated it by signing his name on its walls. The sculptor and painter Miette, a close friend of Dalí, created the club with her husband Pierre, and the name comes from Le Rachdingue, a 1967 book by the writer Henri-François Rey. It started as a kind of private club where Dalí and Miette invited friends, then became a dance club with a terrace looking over the Bay of Roses. Past guests named by the club include Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Carl Craig and Oscar Mulero. It now hosts promoter nights such as Intergalactic FM and Furious Project.
