About Golden Pudel Club

The Golden Pudel Club is a small club at St. Pauli Fischmarkt 27 in Hamburg, on the Elbe next to the Park Fiction park. It began as the Pudel Club in 1988, run by the musicians Rocko Schamoni and Schorsch Kamerun, and moved in 1995 into its current home, a building from 1872 that once served as a smugglers' prison. It became linked with the Hamburger Schule music scene and has hosted underground and international artists ever since. After a fire in February 2016 the building was rebuilt: the ground floor reopened in August 2017 and the upper floors in July 2019, and the Golden Pudel Stiftung is now among its owners. The club runs most nights of the week with rotating series, such as Afrotronic on Wednesdays and guest nights on Thursdays, and in summer the garden is open.

The Pudel Club Kodex applies: respect other people's limits, interaction only with mutual consent, no discrimination, no staring or dancing up on people, and no photos or filming in the club and garden. Anyone who ignores the code has to leave.
