About Gala Hala

Gala Hala is a concert hall and club inside AKC Metelkova mesto, the autonomous cultural centre that has occupied former army barracks on Masarykova cesta in central Ljubljana since 1993. It is run by the cultural association KAPA, active in independent culture since 1994, which also operates the label KAPA Records from the same site. The hall holds up to 350 people and hosts around 130 events a year, and from May to October the Letni oder summer stage in the courtyard takes up to 900 for open-air shows. The programme mixes touring rock and hip hop bands with DJ nights and long-running series such as Rapetek, Dub Club and Zeleno Sonce, while local drum and bass collective DNBKonferenca marks its 17th anniversary here in October 2026 alongside the neighbouring clubs Channel Zero and Gromka.
