Butik Festival (Tolmin, Slovenia) 2027

Butik Festival returns to Sotocje, the meadow where the Soca and Tolminka rivers meet near Tolmin, with a pre day on 14 July 2027 and main days from 15 to 18 July. The Slovenian event stays deliberately small, built around house, techno and disco played to a crowd that camps on the riverbank for the week.

The organisers describe their site as the most spectacular festival location in Europe, and they are not alone in that view: the turquoise Soca runs directly past the dance floors, with the Julian Alps rising behind. Because the festival sits inside a small local community, Butik publishes its own awareness and sustainability guidelines and asks visitors to treat the valley and its residents carefully. Swimming in the river between sets is part of the routine rather than an extra.

Past programmes show where the booking policy sits. Ryan Elliott played a long set at the 2024 edition, Shonky and Janeret appeared in 2023, and Jennifer Cardini played back to back with Pablo Bozzi the same year, all recorded and published on the festival channel. Tickets for 2027 are handled through Paylogic, and the line-up has not been released. Anyone looking for a music festival that trades size for setting tends to find Tolmin early and return.
