Add C12, UMI, Club Vaag and Club Wintercircus for a full weekend across three cities.
Updated: 12 October 2026
Belgium punches far above its size in techno. It gave the world R&S Records, Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte, and on most weekends Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent each have a full club night worth the train fare. Every venue below was checked against its own website and its Resident Advisor listings in October 2026, and each one has club nights on sale for the coming weeks. Our 2023 list has also been trimmed: Labyrinth Club in Hasselt has no club night listed on RA since December 2023, so it is out of this edition.

Techno clubs in Brussels
Brussels is where most visitors start, and it is also the city that has had the roughest few years. RESET, the temporary club in a former banking hall, hosted its last RA-listed night with Ben UFO on 29 November 2025, and La Cabane in Watermael-Boitsfort said in November 2025 that the nightclub model was no longer sustainable. The clubs below are the ones carrying the techno weekend in the capital right now.
Fuse

Fuse sits at Rue Blaes 208 in the Marolles, in a building that opened as a neighbourhood cinema in 1925. Thierry Coppens and Peter Decuypere turned the former Le Disque Rouge into Fuse in 1994, and the club has been the first answer to “techno in Belgium” ever since. DJ Mag placed it in its Top 100 Clubs poll every year from 2008 to 2014, peaking at number 21 in 2010. Steven Van Belle and Andy Walravens have run it since early 2020.
The club survived a scare in January 2023, when a noise order following a single neighbour’s complaint forced it to close; the appeal was accepted and Fuse reopened without restrictions. Today it programmes Friday and Saturday nights from 23:00 across Room 01 and a second room called Motion, with ÜBERKIKZ and Ben Klock among the residencies on its official site. The October diary shows how it works: Maribou State with Cinthie on 16 October, the 24HRS of Fuse marathon on 17 October and Joyhauser all night long on 23 October 2026. Phones get camera stickers at the door, and the dress code leans dark and functional: no suits, heels or flip-flops.
C12

C12 is the club for people who care about the room as much as the booking. It occupies a space at Rue du Marché aux Herbes 116, a few minutes from Brussels Central, and is run by the Deep in House collective as a club, art space and record label. RA lists it at 900 capacity. The door team talks briefly with every guest about the house rules, groups are asked to stay at six to eight people, and phone lenses are covered with stickers.
The programme moves between techno and house with strong series of its own, including Call Of Dirty, started by four queer members of staff. Coming up: a Museum Night Fever night with Hyperaktivist on 17 October and a Halloween bill led by Luke Slater on 31 October 2026. Presale is tiered, so the earliest tickets are the cheapest. Details on c12space.com.
UMI
Close by at Rue du Marché aux Fromages 10, UMI Club & Culture is softer around the edges: plants, low light and a starry ceiling, with a chill room upstairs for ambient music. The sound is house, breaks and minimal rather than peak-time techno, and its Saturday series BLUR runs from midnight to 07:00. On 24 October 2026 BLUR teams up with Crevette Records for the label’s tenth anniversary. RA gives a capacity of 800. UMI is cashless and trusts guests to keep phones off the dancefloor without stickers.
Hexagon Brussels (new, temporary)
The newest name in the city. Hexagon opened on 5 September 2026 in the former Dexia building at Rue de Ligne 8 in central Brussels, and describes itself on RA as a temporary occupation of about five thousand square metres with studios, a nightclub, a concert hall and an auditorium. Slagwerk runs a night there on 16 October and a Halloween party follows on 31 October 2026. Because the project is temporary, check the listings before you plan a trip around it.
Techno clubs in Antwerp
Antwerp has had the most interesting few years of any Belgian city. A club reopened in a famous old building, a basement on the waterfront built a hard techno following, and the big Kompass family opened a sibling near the harbour.
TRAUM
For anyone who misses Café d’Anvers, this is the news. TRAUM opened at Verversrui 15, in the building that housed Café d’Anvers until 2019, after nearly five years of silence. The team calls it a curated club built on old-school principles: the minimum age is 21, phones are banned on the dancefloor, and there are more than 600 coin lockers. The October 2026 diary has 9 Years of Soulful Sessions with Palms Trax on 16 October and Paranoid London on 23 October, and a 12-hour New Year’s Eve rave is already on the agenda. Residents include Phemia, Oko Stellar and Pirrès. Programme at traumclub.com.
Club Vaag
If you came to Belgium for hard techno, start here. Club Vaag is a basement club at Rijnkaai 4 on the Eilandje waterfront, open Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to around 06:00, for up to 500 guests according to its own hire page. Most nights run under the Club Vaag Invites banner: DROS and GO$PEL on 16 October, an extended set from Lammer on 17 October 2026. There is no dress code, toplessness is fine, and the club does not publish timetables so that the openers get a proper crowd. Tickets through clubvaag.be.
Ampere

Ampere sits at Simonsstraat 21, inside the arches under the tracks that lead into Antwerpen-Centraal. It calls itself Belgium’s first environmentally friendly club and runs a mixed programme rather than a strict techno one: RA lists it at 1,000 capacity, and the autumn 2026 calendar moves from Mala Invites on 16 October to Ricardo Villalobos for Rawax’s 15th anniversary on 23 October. The bar is cashless and lockers are booked by QR code. See ampere-antwerp.com.
Garage Klub
Out at Noorderlaan 72, a ten-minute walk from Antwerpen-Luchtbal station, Garage Klub presents itself as the little sibling of Kompass Klub. Expect anything from raw techno to deep house, breaks and trance, with 2manyDJs on 24 October 2026. It is strictly 18+, there is no dress code, and nights usually run from 23:00 to 07:00. More at garageklub.be.
Techno clubs in Gent (Ghent)
Ghent is a student city with a short walk between most venues, and it has one of the best club rooms in the country under a renovated circus building. It is also home to the club that runs Belgium’s biggest indoor techno weekend.
Kompass Klub

Few Belgian clubs have moved as often as Kompass Klub. It opened on 30 April 2016 in a warehouse near the Ghelamco Arena, moved to the former Vynckier factory site in November 2021, then to Vliegtuiglaan 12, which closed with a Ben Klock night on 16 May 2026. In August 2026 the club announced a return to the Vynckier site as its permanent home, and its official site now gives the address as Nieuwevaart 51, 9000 Gent. It reopened there on 2 October 2026 with Novah.
Kompass opens only when an event is booked, usually from 23:00 to 07:00, and covers techno, hard techno, house and drum and bass. NTO and Stephan Bodzin play on 17 October 2026. Entry is 18+ with ID, bags may be searched, and there is no re-entry. Tickets are sold through Paylogic from the event pages, with door sales only if a night has not sold out.
Club Wintercircus
Under the renovated Wintercircus in the city centre, near De Vooruit, Club Wintercircus is a single round room for 600 people built around an L-Acoustics L-ISA immersive sound system, an 11-metre LED wall and 38 projection screens. It is run by a non-profit, with programming by Democrazy and VIERNULVIER, and its Club Laat nights focus on young local DJs. Past bookings include Joy Orbison, James Ruskin and Paranoid London. Agenda at clubwintercircus.be.
Chinastraat and Funke
Two smaller rooms complete a Ghent weekend. Chinastraat, in a former factory at Chinastraat 1, is an industrial hall for 350 that outside collectives take over until 07:00, with techno and tekno nights and a garden bar from April to September. Funke, on the Bij Sint-Jacobs square, is a 200-capacity club, bar and exhibition space over three floors of a 19th-century building, with a minimal and house leaning and a no-photos rule. Both appear on RA with nights listed for October 2026.
Techno party in Belgium: festivals and big raves coming up
Belgian clubs are only half of the story. The country also runs some of Europe’s biggest indoor techno events, and the season starts in November. These are the upcoming dates with a techno focus, checked against each festival’s official site on 12 October 2026.
| Festival | Where | Dates | Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rave Rebels XXL Weekender | ING Arena, Brussels | 6 to 7 November 2026 | Indoor arena, 13 hours a day |
| Full Circle | Venues across Antwerp | 10 November 2026 | One-day city festival |
| Listen Festival | Venues across Brussels | From 21 November 2026 | 24-hour city festival |
| MODUL’AIR | Ghent | 28 March 2027 (Easter Sunday) | One day, venue to be announced |
| Extrema Outdoor | De Plas, Houthalen-Helchteren | 14 to 16 May 2027 | Outdoor with camping, 18+ |
Rave Rebels XXL Weekender, Brussels
Produced by the Kompass team, Rave Rebels calls itself Belgium’s biggest indoor techno festival, and the light show is a big part of its reputation. The 2026 edition fills the ING Arena on 6 and 7 November with a single main room, and the first names on the official site include Richie Hawtin, Kolsch, Reinier Zonneveld, Colin Benders and Faithless.
Listen Festival and Full Circle
Both festivals use the clubs a city already has rather than building a site. Listen Festival marks its tenth edition with a single 24-hour programme across Brussels from 21 November 2026, with Mala, Tiga, Avalon Emerson, tINI and Dillinja on the bill. Full Circle does the same in Antwerp on 10 November 2026 and returns to Ghent on 20 February 2027, according to full-circle.be.
Extrema Outdoor and the summer
Extrema Outdoor returns to the lake and forest at De Plas in Limburg from 14 to 16 May 2027, as the festival site confirms. Later in the summer, Tomorrowland is back at De Schorre in Boom over two weekends in July; the 2027 Belgian dates were not yet on the official site when we checked, so follow our Tomorrowland guide for updates. Paradise City, in a castle park just north-east of Brussels, and WECANDANCE on the coast near Bruges cover the house and techno side of the season.
Belgium nightclubs: door rules, ages and tickets
A few habits are common across Belgian techno clubs, and knowing them saves a wasted taxi.
- Phones: Fuse and C12 put stickers on camera lenses at the door. TRAUM and UMI ban phones on the dancefloor. Funke asks for no photos at all.
- Age: most clubs are 18+ with ID. TRAUM is 21+, and UMI sets 18+ or 21+ per event.
- Tickets: buy presale for big nights. Fuse and Kompass sell at the door when a night has not sold out, and TRAUM always keeps some tickets back, but at most clubs a ticket does not guarantee entry if the door team turns you away. TicketSwap is the official resale route at Fuse, TRAUM, UMI and Club Vaag.
- Payment: Ampere and UMI are cashless; Kompass and Garage Klub take cards at every bar.
- Getting between cities: Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent are close enough by train that one weekend can easily take in two of them.

FAQ
What is the best techno club in Belgium?
Fuse in Brussels is the best known. It opened in 1994 on Rue Blaes, holds about 1,500 people and was in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs from 2008 to 2014. For harder techno, Kompass Klub in Ghent and Club Vaag in Antwerp are the strongest alternatives in 2026.
Which are the best techno clubs in Brussels?
Fuse in the Marolles, C12 near Brussels Central and UMI on Rue du Marché aux Fromages are the main techno and house clubs in Brussels in 2026. Hexagon, a temporary venue in the former Dexia building, opened in September 2026.
Is Kompass Klub in Ghent still open?
Yes. Kompass Klub left Vliegtuiglaan 12 after a final night on 16 May 2026 and moved back to the former Vynckier site at Nieuwevaart 51, Ghent, which it calls its permanent home. It reopened there on 2 October 2026 with Novah.
Where can I find a techno party in Belgium this winter?
Rave Rebels XXL Weekender fills the ING Arena in Brussels on 6 and 7 November 2026, Full Circle takes over Antwerp on 10 November, and Listen Festival runs a 24-hour programme across Brussels from 21 November 2026. Fuse also hosts 24HRS of Fuse on 17 October 2026.
Can you film inside Belgian techno clubs?
Usually not. Fuse and C12 cover phone cameras with stickers at the door, TRAUM and UMI ban phones on the dancefloor, and Funke asks guests not to take photos. At Club Vaag, in-house photographers and videographers work at events, so expect to be on camera.
The TA view
The Belgian scene looks healthier from Antwerp and Ghent than from Brussels right now. TRAUM and Kompass’s return to Vynckier are the two best club stories of 2026, while the capital leans on Fuse and C12 as smaller spaces close. If you only have one weekend, a Friday in Ghent and a Saturday in Brussels is still hard to beat.
