Set against the sun-drenched beauty of Saint Martin, SXM Festival 2026 once again delivered on many different levels. The eco and environmentally conscious gathering mixes up world-class electronic music and the escapist charms of cultured travel on a breathtaking Caribbean island. From panoramic mountain views to hidden beach dancefloors and plenty in between, here are some of the highlights from this year’s edition.

Carl Cox Closes Happy Bay till Sunrise
One defining moment of the week came as Carl Cox took control of Happy Bay for a marathon closing set from 2:30am through to sunrise. Spanning house, techno and everything in between, always with a big smile, it was a masterclass in pacing as the first light broke over the Caribbean, and the vast array of vocals lapped up every second.

Elderbrook DJ Set at Panorama Stage for Sunset
Friday’s Panorama Mountain party delivered one of the festival’s most cinematic scenes, with Elderbrook’s sunset DJ set soundtracking the shift from day to night. With sweeping island views, it was a moment where music and landscape perfectly aligned.

Francis Mercier at the Villa Party
Saturday’s special villa party is always one of the highlights of the Festival each year and this one offered a more intimate contrast that finished with a soulful closing set from Francis Mercier. His deep, emotive selections were perfect for bringing people together in the lofty hillside setting. It felt personal and unforgettable to most that had the pleasure to be there.

Lee Burridge Sunrise at Bamboo Beach
Sunday morning unfolded in serene fashion as Lee Burridge delivered a signature sunrise session. His organic, dreamlike sound created a reflective atmosphere as the island slowly came to life with a whimsical melodic charm and unhurried but hypnotic groove.

The SXM Atmosphere
Beyond individual sets, SXM’s chief allure remains its atmosphere. The crowd is a unique mix of international travellers who all come together. The pristine beaches and carefree energy help oiling conversations and relaxation and whether dancing barefoot at sunrise or exploring hidden corners of the island, the freedom and paradise vibe is unmatched.
