About Solar Festival
Solar Festival comes to Royal Stage in Hillerod on 21 May 2027, a single evening with five strong electronic names on one bill. Royal Stage is the arena venue in the town and runs the festival as part of its own programme.
Hillerod is in North Zealand, 40 minutes from Copenhagen, and the town is best known for Frederiksborg Castle, the largest Renaissance building in Scandinavia, which sits on three islands in a lake in the middle of it. Solar is the one night in the year the town’s arena goes over to electronic music.
Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster Denmark and the Royal Stage site. Hillerod is the terminus of the S-train network from Copenhagen, which makes the trip simple from the capital and 55 minutes from the airport. Late May in Denmark is mild at around 17 degrees with light until well past 22:00. The organisers publish an official aftermovie for each edition. For a Danish music festival outside the capital, Solar is the North Zealand date.
