About

Philadelphia’s Fort Mifflin will become the setting for three unusually adventurous days of music when Making Time ∞ takes over the historic Delaware River fortress from September 18–20, 2026. The latest edition brings an expansive programme of more than 120 artists, with Bicep, Kim Gordon, Skee Mask, Theo Parrish and Daphni among the biggest names leading a lineup that moves far beyond conventional electronic music festival boundaries. Avalon Emerson & The Charm, Daniel Avery, John Talabot, Erol Alkan, Marcel Dettmann, JASSS, Lena Willikens B2B upsammy, Octo Octa B2B Eris Drew, Tiga, Wata Igarashi and DJ Godfather are also part of a remarkably broad bill spanning techno, house, electro, experimental electronics, ambient, indie and live music. The festival’s surroundings are central to its character, with performances spread throughout Fort Mifflin, an 18th-century Revolutionary War-era site positioned beside the Delaware River and close to Philadelphia International Airport. Rather than separating electronic music from experimental and alternative culture, Making Time has built its reputation around bringing different scenes into the same space, creating a programme that can shift from club-focused dance floors to adventurous live performances and unconventional sound experiences within the same weekend. In 2025, the festival celebrated its 25th anniversary with more than 120 acts, including Four Tet, ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U, Boy Harsher, Moodymann, Panda Bear, Ben UFO, Avalon Emerson, Donato Dozzy, VTSS, HAAi and DJ Nobu, reinforcing its position as one of Philadelphia’s most distinctive independent music gatherings. With its extraordinary historic location, dense 2026 programme and willingness to connect established electronic figures with experimental artists and emerging talent, Making Time ∞ continues to offer a festival experience that feels deliberately unpredictable, deeply curated and unmistakably its own.
