About Insane Festival
Insane Festival returns to Apt from 6 to 9 May 2027 for its eleventh edition, four days in the Luberon in Provence. The festival covers the harder end of French electronic music, with frenchcore, hardtek and hard techno across the programme.
Apt sits in the Vaucluse between the Luberon ridge and the Monts de Vaucluse, a market town of 12,000 that becomes the centre of the French hard dance calendar for one weekend each May. The organisers publish an official aftermovie for each edition, with films from 2016, 2022, 2024 and 2026 online.
Tickets are sold through Shotgun. Apt is an hour from Avignon and an hour and a half from Marseille by road, with Marseille Provence the arrival airport and Avignon TGV three hours from Paris. Early May in Provence is warm at around 21 degrees with the lavender still weeks from flowering. For a French hard dance music festival, Insane is the biggest outdoor weekend of its kind in the country.
