About Festival Idyll
Festival Idyll returns to Vinterviken in Stockholm on 12 June 2027. Vinterviken is the bay in the south west of the city where Alfred Nobel had his dynamite works, now a green park with the old industrial buildings still standing on the water.
The site is the point: a festival in a wooded bay inside Stockholm, ten minutes from Hornstull, which is a setting no purpose built ground can match. The organisers publish an aftermovie for each edition, with films from 2018, 2019 and 2022 online.
Tickets are sold through the Vinterviken site. Stockholm Arlanda is 20 minutes from the centre on the Arlanda Express, with Vinterviken reached by bus or a walk from Aspudden on the red metro line. Mid June in Sweden runs into midsummer, mild at around 19 degrees with light until almost midnight. For a Swedish city music festival, Idyll has the name right.
