About Countdown NYE
Countdown returns to the NOS Event Center in San Bernardino on 31 December 2026 and 1 January 2027, and Insomniac have expanded it to two days for this edition. The NOS Event Center is the same site Insomniac use for Beyond Wonderland and Nocturnal Wonderland, which means the production infrastructure is already there.
Countdown has been Insomniac’s New Year event since 2013, moving between venues before settling back at San Bernardino. The expansion to two days puts it alongside the company’s larger festivals rather than treating New Year’s Eve as a single night, and the programming spans the full breadth of the Insomniac roster.
Tickets and the full programme are published through the festival’s own channels, with Insomniac publishing an official aftermovie for each edition. San Bernardino sits around 90 minutes east of Los Angeles on the I-10, with Ontario International 25 minutes away and LAX two hours. Late December in the Inland Empire is cold at night, around 5 degrees, so dress for it. For an American New Year music festival, Countdown is the biggest on the west coast.
