About TRANSMISSION

TRANSMISSION is a three-floor club and live music venue at 1353 H Street NE in Washington DC's H Street Corridor, in the building that once housed the Rock and Roll Hotel. It opened on 3 October 2025, run by the team behind 618 Productions, whose earlier parties took place above the Chinatown Garden on H Street. The venue describes itself as queer-owned and community-built, renovated with help from volunteers and artists. Programming mixes in-house and promoter nights across house, techno, drum and bass, electro, bass and hardcore, alongside punk, indie and jazz shows. Autumn 2026 dates include Substrate nights with Andy Stott, Wata Igarashi, Shed and FJAAK, plus Octo Octa b2b Faited and Mood II Swing, after a one-year anniversary weekend on 2 to 4 October. Club nights usually run Friday and Saturday from 22:00 to 03:00, and most are 21+.
