About Bonanza Festival
Bonanza runs at Buritaca on the Colombian Caribbean coast from 3 to 8 March 2027, six days between the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the sea. Buritaca sits where the river meets the Caribbean, on the road east from Santa Marta towards the Tayrona National Park and the start of the trek to the Lost City.
That position is what makes the site unusual: the Sierra Nevada rises from the coast to 5,700 metres within 50 kilometres, the highest coastal mountain range in the world, and the festival sits at the bottom of it. The Rio Hostel at kilometre 49 on the Troncal del Caribe is the base for the event.
Early bird tickets are on sale through the festival’s own site, with accommodation sold alongside and listings also on Resident Advisor. Santa Marta is around an hour west of Buritaca by road, with its own airport and connections from Bogota and Medellin. Early March on the Colombian Caribbean is the end of the dry season, hot with strong trade winds. For a Colombian coastal music festival, the landscape has no equal.
