About Buena Vida Beach
Buena Vida Beach returns to Punta Canoa near Cartagena de Indias from 8 to 10 January 2027, three days the organisers describe as the largest electronic music festival in the Caribbean. Punta Canoa is a beach north of Cartagena on the Colombian coast, which gives the festival an open shoreline rather than a city site.
The festival has run since at least 2017 and publishes an official aftermovie or recap for each edition, with films from 2017, 2020, 2022 and 2023 online. Three days on a Caribbean beach in January puts it at the centre of the Colombian high season, when Cartagena is at its busiest.
Tickets are sold through the festival’s own site. Cartagena is served directly from across the Americas and from Madrid, with Rafael Nunez International 15 minutes from the walled city and Punta Canoa a further 30 minutes north. January on the Colombian Caribbean is dry season with constant trade winds and temperatures around 31 degrees. For a Caribbean music festival, this is the biggest on the South American side.
