About Gibson Club
Gibson is a club with a live stage on the Zeil, Frankfurt's main shopping street, at Zeil 85-93. It opened in 2012 in the basement of the former Zeilkino cinema, set up by Madjid Djamegari, who earlier ran King Kamehameha. The space covers 1,100 square metres across a foyer, a gallery and the main floor, holds more than 900 guests, and has a large stage, an LED wall and an L-Acoustics sound system. The weekly programme mixes live music and DJs: Thursday is an afterwork night with the house Urban Club Band followed by a DJ, Friday focuses on urban music from hip hop to afrobeats, and Saturday runs an open format with international DJs and live acts. The club also hosts concerts and corporate events, and from May to September it runs the Gibson Beach Club on Mainzer Landstraße.
