About Expirat Halele Carol

Expirat Halele Carol is a club and concert venue at Strada Constantin Istrati 1 in Sector 4 of Bucharest, inside the historic Halele Carol industrial site. It occupies a fully refurbished factory building that holds 500 people per event, plus two open-air annexes. Expirat began in 2002 as a small seaside bar in Vama Veche, where a summer branch still runs from May to mid-September, and grew into a cultural operator with close ties to the local live and DJ scenes. The Bucharest venue hosts more than 200 concerts, club nights and cultural events a year. Its electronic programme includes drum and bass nights from the B:pressure crew, such as Therapy Sessions and guest DJs from the UK, alongside rock, punk and rap concerts and album launches by Romanian bands.
