About Barraca
Barraca is a club in Les Palmeres, a beach area of Sueca on the coast south of Valencia. It opened on 6 December 1965 in a traditional Valencian barraca house, which gave the club its name, and in the 1980s it became one of the central clubs of the Ruta del Bakalao, also known as the Ruta Destroy. Today it has four spaces: Circo, the largest floor, the original Barraca room, rebuilt in 2007, the Showroom for younger DJs and collectives, and a terrace that opens in summer. The music is techno, electro, house and minimal, and Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Ricardo Villalobos and Danny Tenaglia have all played the Circo booth. The autumn 2026 programme includes Lilly Palmer on 24 October and a Halloween party with theBasement, and a party bus runs from Valencia on club nights.
