Time Warp Spain was set to return to Madrid on September 18-19, 2026, bringing its third Spanish edition to Hall 12 at IFEMA Madrid, before the event was officially cancelled due to venue-related operational issues. The planned edition was shaping up as another major meeting point for international techno and contemporary electronic music festival, with a heavyweight program spread across two stages. Friday was built around the powerful B2B pairing of Ben Sims and Óscar Mulero, alongside I Hate Models, Fatima Hajji, Andrés Campo, Chlär, Alarico b2b Yanamaste, Regal, Laia and Luxi Villar. Saturday was set to welcome Time Warp icon Sven Väth, joined by Adriatique, Maceo Plex, Loco Dice, Mau P, Adiel, Miguelle & Tons, Karretero b2b Dani Gómez and Hermetica b2b Zarco. The ambitious lineup followed a strong 2025 edition at the same IFEMA complex, where Charlotte de Witte, Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler, Deborah De Luca, KI/KI, Enrico Sangiuliano, Klangkuenstler and Jamie Jones appeared across two stages. Time Warp’s Madrid editions are known for pairing internationally respected DJs with high-end audiovisual production, immersive lighting and powerful sound design, turning IFEMA’s vast exhibition halls into a purpose-built club environment. Although the 2026 edition ultimately could not take place, its announced program demonstrated the festival’s continued focus on uncompromising techno, influential club artists and carefully constructed B2B performances. With its Madrid chapter temporarily paused, Time Warp Spain leaves behind a growing reputation for bringing the spirit of the legendary Mannheim festival to one of Europe’s most vibrant electronic music cities.
