The Womp Music Festival (Evansburg, AB, Canada) 2027

The Womp Music Festival returns to Evansburg in Alberta from 19 to 22 August 2027 for its ninth anniversary, running four days of electronic music on a forested site an hour west of Edmonton. The organisers brand it a World of Magical People, which doubles as the acronym, and the format is built around three immersive stages set among the trees rather than one large arena.

Sound is handled on PK Sound, the Calgary built rotary line array system that has become the standard for western Canadian festivals, and the organisers programme more than 150 music and dance artists across the weekend. Sets run from sunrise sessions through to late night, and camping under the Alberta sky is part of the ticket rather than an extra.

A harm reduction programme runs on site, with information published alongside the FAQ and the stage breakdown. Tickets for 2027 were due through Ticket Tailor, with the 2026 line up still listed as a reference point for what to expect. Evansburg sits on Highway 16 around 100 kilometres west of Edmonton, which is the nearest airport. It is one of two camping festivals the town hosts in a single summer. For Alberta, it is the music festival with the most committed returning crowd.
