About The Untz Festival
The Untz Festival returns to Sycamore Ranch in Browns Valley, California from 7 to 9 May 2027, an electronic festival built around underground bass artists. The Untz is the publication and promoter behind it, and the booking reflects that: this is a festival run by people who cover the music for a living.
Sycamore Ranch sits on the Yuba River in the Sierra foothills north east of Sacramento, a county park site with river access and oak shade, which matters for a May weekend in the Central Valley foothills. Official recap videos exist for the 2022 and 2023 editions.
Tickets are sold through the festival’s own site. Browns Valley is an hour north of Sacramento by road, with Sacramento International the nearest airport at an hour and a quarter and San Francisco three hours away. Early May in the foothills is warm at around 27 degrees in the day with cool nights and the river still cold from the snowmelt. For an American underground bass music festival, The Untz is the specialist.
