Spiritgust Festival (Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand) 2027

Spiritgust runs at Nakhon Si Thammarat in southern Thailand from 6 to 9 January 2027, four days of hi-tech psychedelic trance. The festival was born in Goa in 2011 and moved to Thailand, carrying the hi-tech specialism with it, which is a narrower brief than most psytrance events take on.

Hi-tech is the fastest and most intricate end of psytrance, and a festival programming it exclusively for four days is for a specific audience. Alongside the music the organisers run an immersive art programme and position the event around a global community rather than a local one. Goa Gil, one of the founding figures of Goa trance, has appeared at the festival.

Tickets are sold through the festival’s own site. Nakhon Si Thammarat has its own airport with direct flights from Bangkok, with Surat Thani also within reach, and early January in southern Thailand is the end of the monsoon on the Gulf coast.
