Mycelium Festival (Chiang Dao (Chiang Mai), Thailand) 2026

Mycelium runs from 20 to 22 November 2026 at Chiang Dao in the mountains north of Chiang Mai, a three day music and arts festival that moved to Thailand after earlier editions in Japan. Chiang Dao sits beneath Doi Luang Chiang Dao, the third highest mountain in the country, and November is the start of the cool season when the north of Thailand is at its best.

The festival takes its name from the fungal network that connects forest root systems, and the programming follows that logic: a connected site rather than a stage hierarchy, with music, art installations and workshops treated as one thing. The Japanese editions in 2021 and 2023 established the format, and the Thai editions have kept it while gaining the landscape.

Tickets are sold through Ticketmelon, Thailand’s main independent ticketing platform. Chiang Dao is around 90 minutes north of Chiang Mai by road, with Chiang Mai International served directly from Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The organisers work with collectives including Cloud Cycle, Soulluzion Soundwarp and Oscillation Of Ooo across the programme. For a Thai mountain music festival, the setting is the reason to go.
