About Karacus Marakus XI
Karacus Marakus holds its eleventh edition at Nakhon Si Thammarat in southern Thailand from 29 January to 2 February 2027, five days of psytrance. The festival began in Goa and has moved to Thailand, carrying its following with it: the fifth edition was a Maha Shivaratri gathering in Goa in 2020 and the seventh ran there in 2022.
Pralayah Records run it and publish official aftermovies for each edition, with films from 2018 and the eighth and ninth editions online alongside full sets including Elowinz from the seventh. The organisers frame the event as a portal opening somewhere between sound and silence, chaos and consciousness.
Tickets are sold through Ticketmelon. Nakhon Si Thammarat has its own airport with direct flights from Bangkok, with Surat Thani also within reach, and early February in southern Thailand is dry and hot on the Gulf coast. The province is the quietest part of the south, which suits a five day gathering. For a psytrance music festival with a Goan lineage in Thailand, this is one of the established names.
