Groove & Bass Festival (Bryson, QC, Canada) 2027

Groove and Bass Festival returns to Bryson in western Quebec from 29 July to 2 August 2027, marking its sixth anniversary with five days of bass music, art and camping on the banks of the Ottawa river. The festival is run as a community project rather than a commercial operation, with stated principles around land use, conduct and creative participation published alongside the practical information.

The 2026 bill gives a clear sense of the booking range: Addison Groove on tech house, Art Materials on minimal techno, ATYYA on hard techno, Black Loops, Christian Smith playing Detroit techno and Flim on the side stage, with sets scheduled deep into the morning. Multiple stages run with their own identities, and applications for the 2027 bill open to DJs, producers and live acts from 1 October.

The site sits at 17 Chemin Wilson in Bryson, in the Pontiac region about 90 minutes west of Ottawa and Gatineau, with Montreal around three hours away. Camping is part of the ticket and the organisers run a volunteer programme covering gate, site and stage build in exchange for entry. For an underground Canadian music festival built on community rather than headliners, it is one of the more coherent examples.
