Friendzy Fest (Evansburg, AB, Canada) 2027

Friendzy Fest returns to Rangeton Park in Evansburg from 5 to 8 August 2027, running four days of camping and electronic music west of Edmonton in Alberta. Each edition carries an animal theme, and 2027 is billed as the Year of the Jungle, following previous years named for the bear, the mushroom, the alien and the donkey. Gates open at 9am on the Wednesday and the site closes at 9am on the Saturday.

The festival is run as a small community gathering rather than a commercial production, with the organisers using the park’s woodland and open ground for stages and camping. Official aftermovies for each themed edition sit on the festival’s own channel and give a fair picture of the scale: a few thousand people, heavy decoration and a crowd that largely knows each other.

Tickets are sold through Tickit, with the festival releasing them in tiers ahead of the line up announcement. Evansburg sits on the Pembina river about 100 kilometres west of Edmonton on Highway 16, which makes Edmonton International the nearest airport and a car the practical way in. The 2027 bill had not been published at the time of writing. For a small Albertan music festival built on repeat attendance, it has an unusually loyal following.
