About
Free Your Mind Festival is one of the longest-running techno festivals in the Netherlands. According to its official about page, it was founded in 2004 and has taken place every year at the beginning of June on the Stadsblokken in Arnhem, historic grounds beside the Rhine where the Battle of Arnhem was fought during the Second World War. The festival runs over two days and presents what the organisers call a smooth blend of house, techno and their subgenres and crossovers. Past editions have featured Paul Kalkbrenner, Audio Bullys, Reinier Zonneveld, Charlotte de Witte and Boris Brejcha, among many others.
Free Your Mind Festival 2027 returns to Arnhem on Saturday 5 June and Sunday 6 June 2027, again at the Stadsblokken. The official ticket link is currently a CM.com pre-registration page that gives registered fans early access to the ticket sale; general sale details have not been published. No line-up has been announced yet. The weekend coincides with Verknipt Festival in Utrecht, so those choosing between Dutch techno festival dates in early June will want to plan ahead.
Expect a multi-stage site on the riverbank facing the centre of Arnhem, with programming that moves between melodic and harder techno as well as house, and a crowd drawn from across the east of the Netherlands and neighbouring Germany. The festival has stayed on the same site since its first edition, which gives it a settled layout and easy access from Arnhem Central Station. Further information on stages, timetables and travel will follow on freeyourmindfestival.nl.
