About
Bass Coast is an independent, artist-owned festival held near Merritt, British Columbia, on the shared traditional territories of the Nlaka’pamux and Syilx Nations. Founded and led by Liz Thomson and Andrea Graham, it has been named DJ Mag’s Best Boutique Festival in North America for two consecutive years and Best Midsize Festival in Canada by the Canadian Live Music Industry Awards, according to the official site. The 2027 edition runs from 9 to 12 July 2027, with early entry available on 7 and 8 July.
Tickets went on sale on 5 September 2026 through Tickit. A limited Late Bird tier is priced at 469 CAD, after which the full price of 479 CAD applies, and payment plans are available. Several bell tent and reserved campsite tiers have already sold out. The 2027 lineup has not been announced; the official site currently shows the 2026 lineup and a past lineups archive.
Bass Coast describes itself as being shaped by a shared love of cutting-edge electronic music, large-scale art installations and an open-hearted community, and it operates free of corporate sponsorship. Expect a bass-heavy programme across several stages, murals, interactive art, workshops and a well-documented harm reduction approach, all on a riverside camping site in the dry interior of British Columbia. It is a techno festival in spirit rather than genre, with a broad electronic curation.
