Festival Cabaret Vert (Charleville-Mezieres, France) 2027

Cabaret Vert returns to the Square Bayard in Charleville-Mezieres from 19 to 22 August 2027, running four days in the Ardennes on the banks of the Meuse. The festival is run by the association FLaP and is unusual in France for the breadth of what it programmes alongside the music: a comic book festival, a cinema strand under the Ideal Cinema banner, the Estaminet bar area and its own radio station broadcasting from site.

Musically it covers more ground than most French festivals of its size, moving from metal and rock through hip hop and chanson to a serious electronic programme. The 2026 edition gives the measure of it: Deftones, Turnstile, Cat Power, Sparks, Sebastien Tellier and Faye Webster alongside Marcel Dettmann, Brutalismus 3000, Interplanetary Criminal, Partiboi69, Todiefor, Girls Don’t Sync and a full reggae and sound system strand.

Passes are sold for one, two, three or four days, with a reduced rate for residents of the Ardennes department and free entry for under 12s. Camping is sold alongside at 19 euros for the four days, or 25 if bought without a pass, and the site runs a cashless system. Charleville-Mezieres has direct trains from Paris Est in around 100 minutes. The 2027 line up had not been published at the time of writing. It is the French music festival with the widest brief.
