About ATOMIKA Festival
ATOMIKA runs in Roswell, New Mexico from 7 to 9 May 2027, described by the organisers as a hybrid symposium and arts festival featuring luminaries from the worlds of art, science and esoterica. The billing is music, science and high strangeness, and the three days are framed as an exploration of the nature of reality.
Roswell is the point. The town has been synonymous with the 1947 incident and the American UFO tradition ever since, and ATOMIKA builds its entire framing on that, down to calling itself a classified interstellar transmission from the desert.
Tickets and the programme are published through the festival’s own site, which also carries a get involved section for contributors. Roswell sits in the Pecos valley in south east New Mexico, around three hours from Albuquerque and two from El Paso by road, with its own regional airport. Early May in the high desert is warm in the day at around 28 degrees and cool at night. For an American desert music festival with a genuinely strange premise, ATOMIKA is unmatched.
