About Village Underground Lisboa

Village Underground Lisboa is a creative hub and club at Avenida da Índia 52 in Alcântara, Lisbon, near LX Factory and Alcântara-Terra train station. The Village Underground concept started in London in 2007 and came to Lisbon in 2014. The site is built from converted shipping containers used as coworking spaces and two old buses turned into a restaurant and a meeting room, and it also houses the Metalbox recording studio. Its club room runs a weekly programme with Portuguese and international artists, open on Thursdays from 22:00 to 02:00 and on Fridays and Saturdays from 22:00 to 06:00, and many events start in the afternoon at 17:00. The October 2026 programme includes the free RIOT house and techno night and the Beleza Abstracta Prog Fest.
