About The Grand Factory

The Grand Factory is a rooftop club on top of a mattress factory in Karantina, by the Port of Beirut, with views over the port, the sea and the mountains; guests ride a cargo elevator up to the roof. It is run by Factory People, the Beirut collective founded by DJ Jade, and was built in 2014 to a design by Clap Clap Studios. Factory, the 1,000 capacity main room, has a Funktion-One system and a kinetic lighting rig, Reunion holds 250 with a Stage Accompany system, and Soul Kitchen is the bar. Damaged in the August 2020 port explosion, the club reopened in December 2022. Its weekly 2ND SUN night brings house, melodic techno and techno from residents such as Jade, Tala and Vanclod and guests including Stephan Bodzin and Mind Against. It runs a winter season.
