About Le Chapiteau

Le Chapiteau is an open-air party venue in the Belle de Mai area of Marseille's 3rd arrondissement, at 38 Traverse Notre-Dame de Bon Secours. It was set up by a couple, Mariana and Arnaud, as an open and alternative place combining an organic bar, a club, a restaurant serving tapas and pizzas, and pétanque courts on a 2,700 square metre plot. Furniture built from recycled pallets is used both inside and outdoors, so the venue runs in summer and winter. The programme covers soul, funk, disco, house, techno, dub and drum and bass, with Marseille collectives such as Animals Industry, Shukran and Lab'Elles, and guests including Terrence Parker, Pablo Bolivar and Florian Meindl. Its own Chapistival festival ran from 13 to 15 August 2026.
