Genialistide Klubi

Genialistide Klubi is a subculture house and club at Magasini 5 in Tartu's old town, describing itself as a meeting place for open-minded people where theatre, music, cinema and fun come together. It grew out of the rehearsal room of the band Genialistid, whose members founded the club and began hosting parties, concerts and plays there. When that building was set to become a toy museum, the club moved, with help from the City of Tartu, to its current home in a building owned by the sports society Tartu Spordiselts Kalev. It holds about 400 events a year, most of them free, from concerts and theatre to bingo nights and DJ parties such as Disco Fantastico. The MÖKU bar, the Gramophonetree Records shop, the Generaadio studio and Teater Must Kast are permanent tenants. The club is run by the non-profit MTÜ Genialistide Klubi.

From 23:00 entry is 18+, with occasional exceptions; bring an Estonian passport, driving licence or ID card. A ticket is no longer valid once you leave, security may refuse entry for inappropriate clothing, and bringing your own alcohol or food is not allowed.
