About Block 33

Block 33 is a concert and club venue at 26is Oktovriou 33 in the old Sfageia (slaughterhouse) district of Thessaloniki, set on a 3,000 square metre plot inside a former tannery. The tannery was founded in 1907 by the brothers N. and M. Nousias and is now treated as a monument of industrial heritage. From 1996 to 2007 the site already worked as a cultural space, home to Ano Kato Records, the Ydrogeios club and a jazz cafe. Block 33 has two halls of about 350 square metres and two courtyards: the Live Stage holds 1,100 standing, and the brick-walled Club Stage in the old factory hall takes about 650 for DJ nights. The programme mixes live concerts with electronic, techno and experimental bookings, such as Autechre in October 2026.
