Magna Mysteria (Larisa, Greece) 2027

Magna Mysteria returns to the Larisa region of Thessaly from 16 to 21 September 2027, running six days of psytrance in central Greece. The festival is run as a ceremony rather than a conventional event, with the organisers using the Magna Mysteria Ceremony name and building the programme around a single continuous arc rather than discrete days.

The booking covers the full psychedelic trance spectrum, from progressive and full on through to darkpsy and forest, with Greek labels including Kerveros Records hosting stages at recent editions. Artists including Necropsycho, Molejo and Oroboro have played in recent years, and the festival publishes official aftermovies alongside films from independent crews documenting each edition.

Larisa sits in the plain between Mount Olympus and the Aegean, around four hours north of Athens and 90 minutes south of Thessaloniki by road, with both cities served by international airports and connected to Larisa by rail. Announcements and ticket information go out through the festival’s Instagram and Facebook pages rather than a dedicated website. The 2027 line up had not been published at the time of writing. For psytrance in Greece, it is the music festival that has grown fastest.
