Emotional vocals and Afro-melodic grooves define this Brazilian label’s latest release!

After launching as a record label in August last year (2024) and presenting four top-quality singles, the Brazilian label Seas Records kicks off 2025 on a high note with the release of “Should We Go Home“, a collaboration between two renowned international artists: Phonique and ALAR. Released on January 10th, 2025, the track is a flawless blend of Afro-melodic sounds, combining emotional and introspective elements across two versions: the Original Mix and Phonique‘s Piano Edit.

This release holds a special place for Seas Records as it is their first single from an international artist; prior releases were from Nezello, Bakka, and Kobbaia, who make up the core of the label, along with contributions from Rafish and Berimbouse. Having Phonique on board this early in the label’s journey shows that Seas is truly committed to delivering ever more relevant music to the electronic scene, especially within the Afro sphere, while maintaining a strong connection to Brazilian roots.

The main version introduces an emotional tone within the first few seconds. The soft, melting vocals blend with ethereal melodies and hypnotic rhythms, creating an invitation to immerse oneself in the music, with a rich atmosphere and carefully crafted sound details.

For those seeking a more introspective experience, Phonique‘s Piano Edit is the perfect choice. With a slightly lower energy, this version highlights the piano as the central element while adding tribal touches. It feels deeper, melancholic, and contemplative — though both versions work seamlessly on the dancefloor.

It’s also worth noting how each artist infused their own expertise and influences into the track. Phonique, known as one of the big names in Deep House over the last decade, and ALAR, who blends the organic with the futuristic, intelligently and subtly brought their identities into the track, all while staying true to what Seas aims for in its curation.

Should We Go Home” marks a new chapter for Seas Records.
