We Love Summer NYE (Cape Town, South Africa) 2026

We Love Summer returns to The Port in Cape Town on 31 December 2026, and the organisers have scaled it up substantially after selling out the previous New Year’s Eve. The 2026 edition runs ten festival brands across ten stages in a single night, which is an unusual structure: each stage is programmed by a separate promoter rather than by one booking team.

That model works in Cape Town because the city has a dense set of competing brands over the holidays, and bringing them together under one roof turns rivals into a line up. We Love Summer have run editions including Kinky Summer, Secret Garden and Final Chapter, publishing films for each.

Tickets are sold through Howler. The Port is a large venue site in Cape Town, and New Year’s Eve in the city is high summer with sunset after 8pm. Accommodation is at its annual peak over the New Year week, so booking early matters. Cape Town International connects directly to Europe, the Middle East and across Africa. For a Cape Town New Year music festival, nothing else is operating at this scale.
