Universal Frequencies returns to Ladismith in the Klein Karoo from 27 to 29 November 2026, running from 10am on the Friday to 4pm on the Sunday. The festival sits in the small independent South African circuit, built on a private site in the semi desert between the Swartberg and Langeberg ranges.
The programming covers psychedelic trance and the deeper end of electronic music across the weekend, with the full run of nights and the daytime sets treated as one continuous programme rather than separate sessions. The organisers publish an official after movie for each edition, with films from 2022 and 2025 giving a clear picture of the site and the crowd.
Tickets are sold through Quicket. Ladismith sits on Route 62 around four hours from Cape Town and two from George, which has the nearest airport, in a part of the Western Cape where the nights are genuinely dark. Late November in the Klein Karoo brings heat in the day and a sharp drop after sunset, so warm layers matter as much as shade.
