Twilight Festival v.27 (Hekpoort (Magaliesburg), South Africa) 2026

Twilight Festival reaches its twenty seventh edition at Pecan Bush Lodge near Hekpoort from 27 to 29 November 2026, three days in the Magaliesberg west of Johannesburg. Teknotribe Events run it, and the twice yearly schedule has kept the festival going for well over a decade of South African psytrance.

The pitch is a journey into the heart of sound, and the programming sits in psychedelic trance across its range, from the daytime progressive end to the darker night sets. Pecan Bush Lodge sits in the valley between the Magaliesberg ridges, close enough to Johannesburg for a weekend but far enough that the sound carries without complaint.

Tickets are sold through Webtickets. Hekpoort is around 90 minutes north west of Johannesburg and an hour from Pretoria by road, in the Cradle of Humankind area, with Lanseria the nearest airport. Late November in Gauteng is the start of the thunderstorm season, which means hot days, dramatic evenings and a real chance of rain, so camping kit needs to handle both. For a South African psytrance music festival, twenty seven editions speaks for itself.
