About
Pukkelpop is a four-day alternative music festival held on the Kiewit festival grounds in Hasselt, Belgium. According to the organisers, it was established in 1985 by the Humanist Youth of Leopoldsburg and grew out of their youth house, De Pukkel. The official site says the event now draws 66,000 visitors a day and deliberately books a broad programme, from rock and pop to rap, metal and dance, alongside local talent.
The 2027 edition is confirmed for 19, 20, 21 and 22 August 2027 at Kiewit on Kempische Steenweg. The festival homepage currently carries a save-the-date message for those dates and points to a Facebook event, but no line-up has been announced and the 2027 ticket sale has not yet opened. The 2026 edition ran from 20 to 23 August with KETTAMA, BLOND:ISH and Kolsch live among the electronic bookings.
For electronic music fans the relevant areas are the Boiler and Wave stages, which sit alongside the Main Stage and the Marquee. Beyond the music there is Boulevard Bizar, a stretch of street theatre and performance art, a Ferris wheel and the Food Wood eating area. Pukkelpop is not a pure techno festival, but its dance programming has grown steadily and the site opens at 11:00 each day.
