About Chinastraat

Chinastraat is a cultural venue in a former factory at Chinastraat 1 in Ghent, which describes itself as an industrial playground. Inside are an industrial hall with a full technical setup and heavy sound, used for concerts, club nights and label takeovers, and from April to September the Bar Bricolage garden on the site opens with DIY structures, stone-baked pizza, Sunday flea markets, open-air DJ sets and film nights. Club nights run late, often from 10pm or 11pm until 7am, and are mostly run by outside collectives: early October 2026 brought Ethereal Echoes, the Lille collective Light'N Vibes and an all-live birthday night on the Alltek sound system, while BIIANCO and KTK's GAIA pairs techno DJs who improvise like jazz musicians. The hall is also hired out for launches, weddings and company parties.
