About
Set against the backdrop of one of Europe’s most majestic heritage sites, POSITIV Electronic Festival 2025 is set to light up the Théâtre Antique d’Orange in southern France from Friday, August 15 to Sunday, August 17. This UNESCO World Heritage-listed Roman amphitheater, with over 2,000 years of history, becomes an electrifying stage for three nights of world-class electronic music, delivering a fusion of monumental architecture, immersive audiovisual design, and genre-pushing performances.
This year’s edition continues POSITIV’s tradition of blending techno, electro, and melodic house with a carefully curated lineup of the scene’s most forward-thinking artists. Friday night kicks off with ARGY, James Hype, Irène Drésel, and a standout KAS:ST b2b Space 92 set. Saturday’s programming turns up the intensity with a ferocious b2b between Sara Landry and Nico Moreno, as well as performances by Amelie Lens and Anfisa Letyago—all renowned for commanding large-scale stages across Europe. On Sunday, the music festival closes in euphoric fashion with legendary live act Paul Kalkbrenner, plus emotionally charged sets from Mind Against and Joachim Pastor.
Afters play a huge role in POSITIV’s DNA. Following the main shows on Friday and Saturday, the night continues into sunrise hours. Friday’s LEGEND afterparty hosts Cosmic Boys and Marcel DK, while Saturday’s SKÖNE invites afters feature TEKSA, Acidpach, and Farfacid in a warehouse-like atmosphere curated for pure underground energy. (Note: there is no afterparty scheduled for Sunday.)
What truly elevates POSITIV beyond a standard festival is the location’s timeless grandeur, creating a stark contrast between ancient stone and cutting-edge sound. State-of-the-art lighting, 3D-mapped visuals, and surround-style acoustics are meticulously integrated into the architecture of the venue, ensuring a once-in-a-lifetime experience that honors both cultural legacy and modern rave expression.
Festival hours run from 18:00 until 01:00, with afterparties continuing until sunrise in select locations nearby. Easily accessible from Avignon, Marseille, and Lyon, the city of Orange also offers a welcoming atmosphere, historical charm, and excellent regional food and wine for those extending their stay.
Now in its 6th edition, POSITIV continues to grow as a beacon of inclusive electronic culture. With past guests including David Guetta, Boris Brejcha, and Peggy Gou, this festival has established itself as one of France’s most culturally significant electronic gatherings—where ancient history and modern club culture collide beneath the stars.
