GROW THE CULTURE OPEN AIR (Hinode (Tokyo), Japan) 2026

Grow The Culture holds its Open Air on 7 and 8 November 2026 at the Oba Camping Village in Hinode, on the western edge of Tokyo. The organisers describe it as 20 hours of low end pressure and as the only bass music festival in the Japanese capital, which is a fair claim given how thinly the genre is served there.

Grow The Culture is a Tokyo label and collective founded in 2021 and built explicitly on UK soundsystem culture. The 2026 bill runs akii, Big Animal Theory, Dayzero, Dx, Fracture, Frankie $, Karnage, maidable, Michika, Midnight Runner, mileZ, Neffa-T, okadada, Oyubi, Stones Taro, Submerse and Velocity, a mix of the Japanese bass scene and names from further afield.

Tickets at phase two are 12,000 yen general and 8,000 for under 23s, with duo tickets at 21,200 and 14,400. Camping pitches are 2,500 yen per area, recommended for four or five people, and eight bungalows sleeping four to eight are sold separately from 26,000 to 35,000 yen, all with air conditioning and most with a restroom. A free rest area means you can attend without camping gear at all. Hinode sits at the end of the Itsukaichi line, around 90 minutes from central Tokyo. It is the Japanese bass music festival that has no competition.
