About Aoyama Hachi

Aoyama Hachi is a four-storey club on Roppongi Dori in Shibuya, Tokyo, with each floor given a different look. The club's own site says it has a history of 28 years and that its sound is designed by KAWAMOTO AUDIO. Floors 2, 3 and 4 each have their own DJ setup, with Pioneer CDJs and mixers on all three and Technics turntables. Maximum capacity is 200. The schedule mixes house and techno after parties, daytime and morning sessions such as Hiru-Hachi and Asa-Hachi, and drum and bass nights called Jazz'N'Bass. The venue says it does not operate late at night on its standard rental terms, and runs from daytime until midnight, while special parties start early in the morning.
