From September 25-27, 2026, Maitland Showgrounds in South Maitland, New South Wales will become a three-day playground for electronic music, carnival energy and immersive outdoor experiences as Frequency Forest returns with two distinctive stages and a wide-ranging international lineup. The music festival’s Aria Stage will explore melodic techno and hard dance with major names including Stephan Bodzin (live), Agents of Time, Eelke Kleijn, Innellea, 8Kays, Henri Bergmann, Monkey Safari, Øostil, Silver Panda, Pacs and Serafina, while the Mandala Stage will dive into psy-tech and progressive psytrance with Astrix, Liquid Soul, Morten Granau, Ranji, Ritmo, Berg, Ghostrider, Interactive Noise, Shanti People and Sighter among its standout artists. Beyond the music, Frequency Forest is designed as a complete festival escape, combining large-scale electronic performances with carnival rides, immersive art installations, workshops, healing spaces and a strong connection to the surrounding NSW countryside. Camping is also an integral part of the experience, with BYO camping, car camping and premium glamping options allowing visitors to stay on site throughout the weekend and experience the festival from morning until night. With two contrasting musical worlds operating side by side, the event moves from melodic and driving electronic sounds to psychedelic and progressive journeys, giving the weekend a broad sonic identity while maintaining a distinctly Australian outdoor atmosphere. The Maitland Showgrounds setting provides open space, natural surroundings and easy access to nearby Maitland, while food vendors, bars and festival facilities keep the experience self-contained.
