Deep Forest Fest (Ramnicu Valcea, Romania) 2027

Deep Forest Fest returns to the hills above Ramnicu Valcea on 30 and 31 July 2027 for its eighth edition, running two days of electronic music in woodland in the Oltenia region of southern Romania. The festival has grown from a small gathering into a fixture of the Romanian summer calendar without moving away from the forest setting that gives it its name, and the organisers publish an official aftermovie after every edition.

Programming runs across house, melodic techno and minimal, drawing on the Romanian scene that has exported artists like Praslea, Priku and Raresh to clubs worldwide, alongside guests from elsewhere in Europe. The format stays deliberately small, with the woodland canopy doing most of the work on atmosphere rather than large scale production. The 2027 line up had not been announced at the time of writing.

Tickets are sold through iaBilet, the main Romanian ticketing platform, and announcements go out through the festival’s Instagram and Facebook pages rather than a dedicated website. Ramnicu Valcea sits on the Olt river at the foot of the Southern Carpathians, around two and a half hours by road from Bucharest and close to the Cozia national park. For a forest music festival in Romania, it is one of the longest running options outside the big commercial events.
