About Circutopia
Circutopia runs near Raglan on the west coast of New Zealand’s North Island from 7pm on Friday 4 December to 4pm on Sunday 6 December 2026. The organisers set out their position plainly: free party culture is an act of rebellion in a world that steadily erodes the ability to feel free, and coming together has to be a choice.
That framing puts the event in the free party and sound system lineage rather than the commercial festival circuit, and the structure follows. The venue is announced only closer to the date, and entry runs on a donation basis starting at 50 dollars rather than a fixed ticket price, which keeps the event accessible while covering the costs of putting it on.
Donations and registration go through Prizmatix, the New Zealand platform. Raglan sits around 45 minutes west of Hamilton and two hours south of Auckland, a surf town on the Tasman coast with a long association with alternative culture in New Zealand. Early December is the start of the southern summer. For a New Zealand free party music festival, Circutopia is the one that says what it is.
