About Bright Festival
Bright Festival returns to Florence from 16 to 18 April 2027, three days of digital art, lighting design and electronic music. The three strands run together rather than one supporting the others, which is the format the organisers have built the festival on.
Florence is an unusual host for work of this kind and that contrast is part of the appeal: immersive installations and light design staged in a city whose visual identity was fixed five hundred years ago. The festival also mounts exhibitions and shows outside the main April dates.
Programme and tickets are published through the festival’s own site. Florence is on the high speed line with Rome an hour and a half away and Milan under two hours, and Peretola airport is 20 minutes from the centre with Pisa an hour by train. Mid April in Tuscany is mild at around 19 degrees, which is the best window in the year to be in the city. For an Italian music festival that gives equal weight to visual art, Bright is the one.
